THERAPEUTIC CLEAN this blend has been especially created to harness the therapeutic benefits of Lemon, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Coriander, Red Thyme, Cinnamon Bark, Tea Tree and Clove Bud essential oils. These oils have been long used for their cleansing, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-fungal, antispasmodic effects (read more about their benefits below). Blending together the oils included in our special unique ratio creates a warm, spicy almost medicinal-like aroma.

Complimentary, empty reusable 500ml spray bottle (recycled PEP) is included when you purchase a 30ml or 100ml bottle of this oil. We have discovered by testing ourselves that just adding 2ml (approximately 80 drops) of neat Therapeutic Clean to the 500ml bottle and topping up with tap water creates an effective toxin free, cleaning product for use around the home.

 These oils can be used in many ways, particularly of benefit to your home would be adding a few drops to an electric diffuser, such as a Lock & Latch EcoPod (sold separately) diffusing in this way is an excellent way to clean the air. Particularly good also for cleaning the house in a very diluted blend of oil to water (a little goes a long way), we recommend approx 2ml added to an empty spray bottle and topped to 500ml with water.

Benefits to the oils this blend contains:-

Clove Bud essential oil potentially helps to cleanse the air and environment. A 2018 study looked at the effects of essential oils on bacteria that can cause respiratory infections. Although antibiotics were shown to be far more effective, clove oil did have antibacterial activity when used as a vapour.

Rosemary essential oil a popular oil which has long been associated with a number of healing and remedial qualities.

Lemon essential oil is an incredibly popular cleaning oil and can help to keep our homes safe and hygienic.

Cinnamon (bark) essential oil is a natural cleanser. Used in a diffuser such as our EcoPod it may help fight the symptoms of sore throats, coughs, and colds. Diffuse this spicy-scented oil and allow its antibacterial properties to fight the infection, while the relaxing effects should help you to breathe easy and get some much-needed rest.

Eucalyptus essential oil has a strong, fresh fragrance it is thought to have cleansing and grounding properties and also many believe this essential oil to have healing, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties, so it’s been used to treat everything from minor colds to the symptoms of asthma (alongside your regular treatment not to replace).

 Red thyme essential oil believed to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal properties. Thyme oil is also thought to have antispasmodic elements, so it’s frequently diffused by those with coughs and colds.

Coriander essential oil may help fights bacteria and thanks also to its antispasmodic properties, coriander is often used to tackle coughs.

Tea Tree essential oil an incredible addition to this blend, tea tree was used regularly by Australian troops during the Second World War to repel insects and soothe injuries. Since then, tea tree essential oil has been found to contain terpenoids, which are proven to have antiseptic qualities.

Why we’ve blended these oils together is to harness these therapeutic properties in the best way we have found to boost the benefits and to create our version of a blend that is often associated with a tale of four young men, who also happened to be bandits…

The Legend of Four Young Bandits: 

The Black Plague struck Europe and Asia in the mid-1300s. Thousands of people died due to this global epidemic of Bubonic Plague, and those alive were very ill, it affected all-the old, young, rich and poor alike, plunging the world into fear and dread.  

Legend has it, that four young brothers whose parents were herbalists would go out and rob the homes and graves of the dead, exposing themselves to the Plague but never getting sick, this was reportedly due to a blend of essential oils and herbs soaked into a piece of cloth and maybe worn around the nose and mouth.

However, as this tale of four brothers occurred hundreds of years ago, it is difficult to check the facts and ascertain the truth. Still, herbs and essential oils have stood the test of time because of their multiple therapeutic benefits for the skin, body, and mind.

Many people swear a blend of essential oils, usually these are agreed as including clove bud, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, & rosemary essential oils (we also add thyme, tea tree and coriander essential oils), is a protection to their health and use it for cleaning the home, by diluting it in water, and in cleansing the air with electric air diffusers and in many other ways too… (some also injest-adding a drop a day to food-however we strongly feel that this shouldn’t be done and definitely do not advise you do this with our oils), we feel aromatherapy should be just that, used for its aromatic therapeutic aroma!

This is an undiluted blend of pure essential oils, so please take care with skin and varnished furnishings.
